Beatriz Ledesma is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She moved to Chicago, Illinois after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Education. Once in Chicago, she acquired her Master’s degree in fine arts and in art therapy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She then used her interest in psychoanalysis to help motivate her in obtaining her Doctoral degree which focused on the use of art-making in clinical treatments of adults at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. Ledesma has had her art displayed throughout Chicago as well as in Argentina. She uses a multitude of colors in order to display her imagination in her paintings and drawings. Ledesma displays brightness and warmth by using an array of oils in her paintings. Her imagination and the world around her inspire her beautiful work.
