Ramón Ramírez was born in Los Angeles, California. Most of his artwork is inspired by the city. He graduated from UC Berkeley with three degrees, and right afterwards became an architect. He soon realized, however, that his true passion was to draw and paint. His style is influenced by the urban environment which he presents with his own special twist. Just like his community and the world around him, Ramírez’ work is constantly evolving as well. His paintings have been published in books and magazines such as the Bilingual Press at Arizona State University, the Business Journal of Hispanic Research, the New York University Press and UCLA Press. Ramírez also teaches classes in architectural drawing and painting. He enjoys doing what he loves every day and sharing his work with people all around the world.
