Camilo Pino
Camilo Pino is a Venezuelan novelist who was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1970. His father Elias Iturrieta is a Historian and his mother is a psychologist. Pino studied journalism at the Central University of Venezuela and then he went on to study Communications at the University of Westminster in London. Pino grew up surrounded by books and he used the books from his childhood to inspire and motive his writing today. Pino writes for a Hispanic TV network. He says that for him there is a large distinction between writing for hire and writing for his own artistic work. Some of his artistic work includes Valle Zamuro and Mandragora. In 2011, Valle Zamuro was chosen by a group of Venezuelan intellectuals and writers as one of the ten best books of the year to be listed on Prodavinci.com.
