Eduardo Carriazo
Eduardo Carriazo was born in 1960 in South Cali, Colombia. As a child Eduardo, was always very creative. He and his brother spent a lot of their time exploring their artistic creativity. He had a fruitful childhood with parents he described as “very loving.” Eduardo grew up around a very diverse mix of Colombian, and Spanish culture which he remembers as demonstrated by the varied styles of dance and traditions he learned. When Eduardo was 17, he moved from Colombia to Ecuador where he attended a small university. Although Eduardo had always been artistic, he was pushed by his family to pursue architecture. He originally wanted to figure out a way to incorporate his art into his architectural studies. After a year of studying, he decided that he no longer wanted to pursue architecture in any form. He switched his focus to the study of biology, and language; specifically, English and French. After obtaining his degree he moved to the Galapagos Islands where he worked as a tour guide for eight and a half years. At this point, he had become fluent in English and French and would conduct tours in all three languages.
